About the Hillwood Meditation Centre and Retreats
Steph's Vision
"I'm trying to re-create the kind of paradise I grew up in - a place that is close to nature, where there is a community which meditates and discusses spiritual philosophy without persuasion, where there is someone you can talk to about your deepest thoughts and experiences, and where travellers are always welcome to rest and get inspiration."

Quality
Since opening at the beginning of 2017 over a thousand meditation meetings have been held at the Hillwood Road Meditation Skills Centre. Attendance at meditation meetings averages 6 people with a maximum of 12 people. Steph has presented over sixty workshops at the Centre and the average attendance has been 8-9 people. The Centre has hosted a variety of special events such as Art Therapy, Mindfulness lunches, a small wedding ceremony, private workshops and, for 18 months, a Kids Meditation class. Steph also sees clients for counselling or therapy, but aims for no more than about half a dozen consultations per month. During the last seven years she has seen almost a hundred clients for consultations and a handful of those clients have chosen Steph as their regular mental health support person. The largest guest room at the Goldilocks Retreat was listed on Airbnb for six years and it achieved an average star rating of 4.92 stars from 97 reviews. The Farmhouse Retreat which opened recently has received seven reviews, all of which are 5 stars. With the help of the meditation community, the other enthusiastic instructors at the Centre and the maintenance contractor, Steph looks forward to providing good service to those who visit the Centre in the future.
