Not just for meditators, people come to the Hillwood Road Meditation Skills Centre for many different reasons and from many different backgrounds. You can come for the social life or scenery or for a holiday in one of the retreats, but it's also a supportive place where you can talk about mental health, grief, loneliness or spiritual experiences. It's in a beautiful setting with extensive gardens, large deciduous trees, a spring-fed dam, grassy slopes and a corridor of native paperbarks all visible from the road. The building is a restored apple shed with information about Hillwood's orcharding past on display, and the artwork includes a three metre high apple mandala. The Centre is not associated with a religion or any other institution and it aims to help people of all backgrounds to feel inspired and at peace.The Hillwood Road Meditation Skills Centre and accommodation are part of Steph's registered business but Steph runs them as a way of contributing to the community, keeping fees low and aiming for quality of life rather than profit. Come by yourself or with a friend, your partner, your group or your family.
